Now, I don't have such severe acne, just the occasional breakout, but I do have bad acne scarring. I think it's time for me to give drugstore brands a try again. The thing is, when I go to the drugstore to buy things, I am so overwhelmed and not sure what to buy.
So, my question for you is, what are your favorite drugstore skincare essentials (cleanser, moisturizer, etc.) and why? Help me narrow down my search haha :)

If it helps, my skin is pretty sensitive, gets very dry in the winter and more oily in the summer. I have natural redness in my face (possibly Rosacea?) and bad acne scarring. Suggestions are greatly appreciated :)

I use clean & clear deep cleaning astringent and proactiv (but that's not a drugstore brand) for acne. Gold bond's my favorite lotion, which works really well for my super dry skin. Maybe for the acne scarring you could try some scar creams, but I don't know any specific brands to suggest.
Cocoa Butter is my absolute favorite lotion!!

I've just had the itch to wander to the drugstore myself. I agree that even a place like Walgreens can be overwhelming.
My favorite facewash (just because it makes my face feel really clean and fresh) is a tea tree acne wash that I get from a place called the Health Hut. It's got a green label if that's of any assistance.
Lately Ive been using the L'Oreal 360 cleanser and an Aveeno moisturizer and I'm happy with both of them. Will probably do a review soon!
ive been wanting to try the wave for the longest!

My skin is VERY sensitive. HOnestly just stick to whatever works for you. I've used Neutrogena forever and it's always worked great, but I've heard good things about Philosophy, so I tried it and broke out sooooo bad! Now, I'm back to Neutrogena and my skin is clear again (with the occasional pimple here and there).

Ugh, I wish I could help you... I don't have horrible acne, but it's persistent and the only thing that ever REALLY helped me get 100% clear skin was Accutane, and that is now being pulled from the market because it causes severe stomach/liver problems - yayy!
Now, I use a Trish McEvoy moisturizing mask as a primer for under my makeup. C.O. Bigelow makes a moisturizing cream that you put on at night...it has acai berry in it, smells really good, and keeps my skin moisturized AND has components that are good for healthy skin!
The wave looks really cool though :)
yeah i know how you feel about the occasional breakout, i get them a lot! and i've wanted to try that wave thing....great post!

I love Physicians Formula and Neutrogena products. I have similar skin to you and Neutrogena makes this amazing moisturizer/sunscreen which keeps my skin calm.
I'm lucky that I have good skin. But I try not to fuss with it too much. I just use some Oil of Olay moisturizer and try to take of my makeup before bed (ehhh, that doesn't happen as much as it should). But I could not live without those make up remover wipes!
I've been using Aveeno and Origins moisturizers since highschool. They're my favorite brands! xoxoxoxoo
I'm a Cetaphil girl!
I'm all about Clean and Clear's dual action face lotion...i forgot what its called exactly, but its in a white bottle w a purple top. Also a big fan of Apricot Scrub, and Morning Burst!
I used to have a good deal of acne myself, but last year I started the Acne.org regimen (it's a benzoyl peroxide cream) and my face has cleared up a whole lot :) From the drugstore, I use Purpose Gentle Cleansing Wash. It is wonderful, not irritating at all. And I use AHA+ cream as well as Neutrogena Oil-Free SPF 15 for moisturizer.
