Currently Loving - Army Green

I've never been keen on this army green color, but it's been growing on me lately. I think I wrongfully put it in a "bleh" category for a reason unknown to me.

Army Green Under $100

Some may call it "olive green". I really think it is a great color for fall, I'm hoping I can find a nice coat in this color.

Army Chic

I can't wait to try this trend! An army green top will look so good with some distressed jeans and lace up booties. Smokey eyeliner too, obviously. Maybe I'll wear a whistle around my neck and blow it when people are taking up the entire sidewalk and/or walking too slow. Hmmm...tempting.

Are you going to get into the army green trend this fall?

July Favorites

We did it everybody! We made it through the heat of July...barely. That means it's time for July favorites! Woohoo!
Since I've been out of the state and basically in the woods and the water for the whole month, my favorites aren't very exciting and not very beauty or fashion related. I will say though, not having to do my hair and makeup everyday was pretty great.

July Favorites 2015

1. My iPad - Since I've been spending a lot of time in the car and in the middle of nowhere with no service, my iPad has been my best friend. I finished a book and started reading some other short stories here and there, now I have to decide what book I want to read next.

2. Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Powder Bronzer - Bronzer has always intimidated me. Now that I've done a little research on how to actually do proper contouring and highlighting, I love it. I'm shocked at the difference it can make when you do it correctly.

3. Tazo Iced Passion Tea K-Kups - I got a Keurig and I'm OBSESSED. I'm not even much of a coffee drinker, but John is. I got some Tazo tea K-Kups in the iced passion flavor. Add a splash of lemonade and you have yourself an iced passion tea lemonade! They're expensive though, which is the only downside I've seen so far.

4. Camelbak Forge Mug - When we went zip lining we bought water bottles that we could attach to the harnesses since we would be out for ~3 hours. It's designed for hot beverages, but I use it as a water bottle every day. It's durable as shit, insulated, and vacuum sealed. It really does. not. spill. I've tried it for what little coffee I drink since getting the Keurig and it keeps it hot. After a while I have to take the top off to let it cool down otherwise I'd have to wait 2 hours to drink my coffee. Also expensive, but worth it so far I think.

5. My Raybans - I've spent too much time in the sun this month, and my eyes have thanked me for protecting them. Most of the time at least.

6. Elle - No they aren't sponsoring me. John subscribed me to Elle and Teen Vogue so I've been drawing a lot of inspiration from there lately. Also good for long car rides.

7. Covergirl Intensify Me! Liquid Liner - I got this in a VoxBox and I didn't do a review on it because I'm not familiar enough with liquid liner to give a fair review. I've been practicing my winged eyeliner though and it's been good to me. The tip isn't as thin as I'd like but you can turn it for a thin line and a thick line. Just not as thin as I'd like.

Sorry they weren't very exciting this month, hopefully next month I'll have a few better ones. If you have a Keurig, get the Iced Passion Tazo Tea K-Kups and add a little bit of lemonade with it. It's a great summer drink!

That's So Clutch

I feel bad for skimping on my posts lately. I'm interning as a contributing writer for Collegefashion.net. Check out my page if you want to see what I've been writing so far! Feedback is encouraged!

Anyway, we all love clutches, right? How would we survive a night out if we had to tote around a giant purse that takes up the space of a whole extra person?
They are great for holding just the essentials, but they are also like mini pieces of art.

Can we just start bowing down to Charlotte Olympia already?

Kate Spade

I could go on for pages with these works of art. It's fascinating that a designer can fit all of this talent and beauty into 6 (more or less) inches. Charlotte Olympia really knows what she's doing - with both shoes and handbags.

Anjolee.com Jewelry Review + Giveaway!

As much as I browse the internet, I'm surprised I'd never heard of Anjolee.com. It is a high end diamond jewelry manufacturer and retailer website.
Everything is completely customizable! You can choose the metal type, carat size, diamond/gemstone size, and gemstone type. They sell necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and even wedding and anniversary rings!

I got a gorgeous necklace from them, and you lucky ducks have an opportunity to win it!

I got the Gemstone Focus Diamond Circle Pendant, and I chose topaz as my gemstone.

This specific necklace is made with silver and high quality czs for review purposes, but the quality is wonderful! The chain is 18 inches long; you probably can't tell from these pictures but it is very delicate and elegant.

I felt so classy wearing it. I'm going to miss it! And don't worry, it's not "used" I just put it on for the purpose of this post. I'm considering hinting at John that I want one of their tennis bracelets for our anniversary. I have a tiny wrist and having the option to customize the band size is very appealing.

Now, here's your chance to win this beauty.
Unfortunately, U.S. entries only.
Giveaway starts tomorrow, 7/25/15 at 12:00 am and ends on 8//25 at 12:00 am. You have a whole month so no need to rush.
Good luck!

a Rafflecopter giveaway

I'm beyond pleased with my necklace choice though, customizing anything is just too fun!

the necklace was sent to me for review, but is not sponsored and all opinions are my own. giveaway was not required. customization by myself as well!

Finally Back!

I'm back from the middle of nowhere!
I went to North Carolina, then Tennessee, then back to North Carolina with no service what so ever.
I stole a couple of pictures from John's phone to post, but other than that I really don't have much :(

I went zip lining for the first time and it was so much fun. Definitely something I want to do again. We had previously rafted at the same place (Nantahala Outdoor Center), and both were very fun experiences.

In Tennessee we stayed right by Dale Hollow Lake. Another beautiful site to see. John's dad bought a new jet ski (a very fast one at that) so we spent a lot of time jet skiing and boating.

When we went back to North Carolina we spent some time on Stanteelah Lake and did some more jet skiing. My month has basically consisted of jet skiing, boating, four-wheeling, eating, and being out of touch with the world.

That is a little glimpse of Dale Hollow Lake but the picture just doesn't do it justice.

We went to Nantahala Brewing Company in Bryson City, North Carolina. Apparently the World Cup was going on? We didn't even know because we had been out of service for so long but it was pretty crowded. I was drinking Devil's Courthouse Belgian Golden Strong at a whopping 9.5% ABV. I had some other ones that were tasty as well but I can honestly say I don't remember much unfortunately. I do remember eating some of the most delicious pizza of my life and I think the place was called Anthony's Italian Restaurant. If you're ever in Bryson city I highly recommend both of these!

This is a tree that is outside of the house where we stayed Tennessee. If you know what kind of tree this is, let me know because I'm not sure. It attracted all kinds of creatures though. Bees, butterflies, and even some hummingbirds! I had never seen hummingbirds in person before. Fireflies also appeared around it at night.

I'm currently giving away a necklace from Anjolee.com, so be sure to enter to win!
Talk to you all soon!

Still Not Gone!

I'm currently in Tennessee with NO service or wifi :(
I'm stealing library wifi now to submit posts for my internships, I'll be back soon I promise!
