New hairr!

I'm having hair drama with my new haircut D:
I have more layers now, and I've had layers before and never had any problems. When I straighten my hair, it looks good in the front (pictures below), but when I look at the back, it looks strange. I don't know how to explain it, but it looks kind of like a raccoon tail. You can distinctly see where the layers stop and the next layer starts, if that makes sense. Has anybody else ever had this problem? It looks better when I curl it, but I usually don't have that much time. Anyway, picture time.

Hair before: (yes, still in my pajamas hehe)

Hair after (straight):

Hair after (curly):

Let me know what you think, or if you have any solutions. It would be so greatly appreciated!

I think it looks GREAT in the front and I love how it's cut...but I've had the same problem with the cut not falling right in the back...

I would maybe go to a different stylist and see what they can do...it might just take a little bit of trimming to fix it!

Thanks everyone :)

Jammer- yeah, I went to a different stylist than I normally do this time. But he works right next door to where I work so I might just go in there afterward and ask him what he things. thanks for the suggestion!

I love it straight and it looks pretty curled too! I'd stick with the straight on any given day - it seems more practical?

I think your hair looks great! Perhaps it's something only you see? I've had layers for a long time and my best suggestion is just to blowdry them in sections so they fit together. Hope it helps!

I thought that it was only me at first but I showed it to my mom and she just busted out laughing haha.
But I'll try blowdrying them in sections, thanks for the suggestion! :)

Well it looks beautiful from the front! I understand what you mean, though. My hair doesn't have any shape right now (need to fix that!), and I still feel like the back of my head looks whack sometimes! As for suggestions- I would go ask for a professional opinion.

Have a good weekend!

Hey Gracey! :D

Your new hair looks good! Loving the layers, and also the colour. The blond is so lovely -envious- Haha you look so beautiful with the curls too. ((: Loving it. Hmm I think Style, She Wrote's suggestion sounds good. (: I don't have tips though, my hair's a mess. Hoping it'll grow long enough so I can get layers like you too! Yours are beautiful <3

And thanks so much for your encouragement as well! :D I really needed that, it made my day <3

Love ya!
Stay happy kay :D

I have a somewhat random suggestion that might be a temporary fix. Instead of going completely curly to hide the layer ends you could try going with a light wave/ or "beachy" hair by first using an anti frizz serum or spray to tame that part of your hair and then using a surf spray or pomade (I know Garnier has a couple and I think aussie's catch the wave collection are easily found, there might be others in your local drug store too.)

It looks beautiful either way,but if you want to curl it with a shorter amount of time you can always curl your hair with a hair straightener it's very simple as soon as you get the hang of it. (remember to use a hair protectant) I find that it saves me at least 15 minuets of curling my hair. It's just a thought. I hope this is useful advice to you.
