Currently Loving: Marble

I survived school, hallelujah!

On that note, I'm now on the job hunt which is not going too well unfortunately. Your options are a little limited when you don't have a car. Oh well, hopefully I'll find something soon.

But the good news is, I got some new dividers for my Carpe Diem planner (which is not in use yet because I don't have inserts for it yet). They are from Minted Sugar on Etsy and they are just truly fabulous. Excuse the awful lighting, I'll try to take better pictures in the future, I just couldn't wait to share!

I've fallen in love with everything marble lately, especially marble + gold. It's just so clean and chic. It's like all of a sudden I want everything marble. I mean, how can you not?! Look at these gold dipped marble coasters:

I waaaaant. They would look so good against my black table (that's my justification for buying them if I do, not that I need one).

Anyway, I'm going to put you in the marble mood as well. I'm sorry or you're welcome (your pick).

Isn't it all so lovely? I especially love all of the dark marble. I haven't yet perfected--or even attempted--marble nails but I think that might be a summer project I'll have to work on. I'm sure many of you fashionistas have tried this. How hard is it, really? Be honest with me!

Do you swoon over marble as much as I do? What are you currently loving?

Custom Stationery Decision (Said In Layers)

I made a decision. Decision made. Last month I was having a terrible time deciding what personalized stationery I was going to get, and I even did an entire post on it.

I felt like I was buying a house or searching for the perfect wedding dress. I did so much searching and I was just not ready to settle for something that I just felt "meh" about, even though so many stationery sets I included in that post were beautiful! They were either too small for my liking, too pricey, were only one sided (I like folded notecards), or some other factor.

But just like in the movies when the bride to be is searching for her wedding dress, I found "the" stationery. And here it is...

I had about 10 tabs of different stationery options open and immediately closed them all once I read the details and decided that these cards fit all my criteria. They were made by Said In Layers on Etsy. I just want to frame one and put it on my wall!

Yesssss. I was starting to get discouraged on my hunt, because a lot of the designs I liked were only available on flat cards and I prefer folded cards. So you can imagine how excited I got when I found out these were folded notecards.

This is one of my favorite parts. When you open the envelope, my name is the first thing you see. So obviously whoever is opening the letter is going to get super excited when they see that! Haha, kidding (kind of).

It was within my price range, but custom stationery from anyone still is not cheap. So if you get a letter from me on one of these cards, you're special! Congratulations!

So if you're on the hunt for some custom stationery, I highly recommend Said In Layers (her name is Abbey if you want to go ask her any questions, she is super sweet). She also has regular stationery if you don't want to go the custom route, and she sells art prints as well.

Do you think I'm crazy for getting so excited over stationery?

And the winner is...

Kim Carter!

Yay! Congratulations! I will be sending you a congratulatory email address as soon as I get out of class to get your mailing address and whatnot.

If you are planner obsessed, stay tuned for the next few weeks because I have some cool surprises coming up (yay coupon codes!). If you don't like planners and such, you will probably hate my blog for the next...however long. I will try not to make it exclusively planner and stationery related, though. I'm just going through an obsession right now.

Thank you again to everyone who entered! Stay tuned for coupon codes to some awesome Etsy sticker shops if you are running low on planner supplies.

TwoKraftyChicks and Target Giveaway!

Giveaway time! Finally! So as I've mentioned before, TwoKraftyChicks on Etsy sent some adorable planner items over to use in a giveaway back in May. At the time, I was moving and the items got lost in the move and I finally found them! Yay!

The bad news is, some of the items got a little damaged. One of the paperclip bookmarks broke, and a couple of the stickers are a little damaged as well. Only a couple are damaged, and the ones that are a still very useable, but I felt I should warn you.

I felt horrible, I went to Target and bought some more goodies to go along with the things TwoKraftyChicks sent over!

And apologies for the horrible photos. It was a particularly gloomy day but I had to get the photos taken, and I could't take them outside like I normally would.

From TwoKraftyChicks, you will get:

1 pagemarker
3 washi tape samples
6 sheets of stickers
1 mini sheet of stickers

^ That's the worst of the damage. Sorry everyone! :(

And from Target, you will be receiving:

1 padfolio
1 pack of notecards
1 roll of washi tape
1 pack of paperclips

It's hard to tell in the photo, but the washi tape is like a cotton-candy pink and white striped.

I was contemplating getting a planner for the giveaway (because that would make sense) but I know some people are picky about what type of planner they like (I know I am). Even though it may be handy for some people to have more than one planner, many people don't need two, so I figured everyone could get use out of a simple notepad! I mean we all write things down, right? And this is one freaking cute notepad. And once you've gotten use out of the notepad included inside this padfolio, you can always go to Office Depot or Target, buy another, and continue on.

You have until 1/20 to enter!

a Rafflecopter giveaway

Good luck!

Planner Wishlist - Stickers Part I

I've noticed that I do a lot of wish lists, and I promise I'm not as greedy as I seem. This is kind of a functional wish list if you will - it's a place where I can save all of the stickers I've found online that I want to buy for my planner so far, and a place where I can share the cuteness and prettiness of them with you all! If you are a sticker gal, I promise you will want to buy some of these.

Vintage Gypsy Road (For Christmas of this year. This one is being discontinued!).

I could go on for pages and pages. My goal is to be more functional than decorative. I've watched "plan with me" videos on Youtube and I've seen people make absolutely adorable planner layouts, but I don't think they would work for me in real life. A) I could never afford all of the supplies used and B) it seems a little hard to read for my taste. If my layouts look decent I might post pictures.

But really, are these stickers not the cutest? I ALWAYS need medicine refill reminders and reminders for when I need to get more contacts. And the "shark week" stickers are just too cute not to want. I have to figure out a cute way to differentiate between which stickers I want to mean Keurig filter changing day and which means Keurig descale day. I have some washi tape that looks like fish scales, so that might come into play at some point.

Sorry if this invades my blog a bit, I can tell I might become a little obsessed. Please share your favorite planner supplies stores or your own Etsy store if you have one!

Are you a physical planner girl too? If so, are you a plain planner or a decorative planner?

That 70's Wishlist

I think I was born in the wrong decade. I'm seriously obsessed with the 1970's, fashion-wise and not. I don't know what it is. Maybe the effortlessness of it? Maybe Stevie Nicks had something to do with it?

I've had a major craving for some 70's swag lately, and I know it's a little late for Santa to get my list but I figured I'd put it out there anyway.

I'll keep it short because I could go on for literally pages with this 70's wishlist. I love it, I really do. I'm glad John likes interesting pillows, because the 70's had some bangin pillow designs.

What's your favorite fashion or decor decade, or just decade that's been catching your interest lately?

Hope you all have a Merry Christmas!
