Favorite Drugstore Skincare Essentials?
Now, I don't have such severe acne, just the occasional breakout, but I do have bad acne scarring. I think it's time for me to give drugstore brands a try again. The thing is, when I go to the drugstore to buy things, I am so overwhelmed and not sure what to buy.
So, my question for you is, what are your favorite drugstore skincare essentials (cleanser, moisturizer, etc.) and why? Help me narrow down my search haha :)

If it helps, my skin is pretty sensitive, gets very dry in the winter and more oily in the summer. I have natural redness in my face (possibly Rosacea?) and bad acne scarring. Suggestions are greatly appreciated :)

What do you think? Do you like tie dye or do you think it should stay in the past? What pattern are you loving right now?

Anybody seen this? I would ask for an explanation of the ending but I don't want it to be spoiled for anyone who hasn't seen it. What movies have you seen lately?

Hair Products I'm Loving Right Now
Garnier Fructis Flexible Control Hairspray
credit
Since I've started wearing my hair curly sometimes, I needed a good hairspray to hold the curls. My hair does not curl very easily, and when it does the curls don't hold well. I just used some random hairspray I had in my bathroom until I could buy one I actually wanted. This stuff is AMAZING. Since it's a flexible hold, it allows the curls to fall out just a little so that they look a little more beachy. If you want a stronger hold, they have those too. The best part? It smells SO GOOD! My friends love the way this stuff smells and love when I wear it, so I would definitely recommend this to you all :)
Chi 44 Iron Guard
credit
It is soo important to protect your hair from heat damage when you use a blow dryer, curling iron, or straightener. But I'm sure you all already knew that. I love the Chi 44 Iron Guard because you can use it on wet or dry hair, and can be used for curly or straight styles. My hair smells nice after I use it and it protects my hair from getting severely damaged by my irons and blow dryer. Some people say it leaves their hair feeling sticky or stiff, and I know what they mean because when I first got it I went overboard and sprayed a lot of it. You do not need to use a lot of this product, so if you lightly spray it your hair won't be sticky or anything.
Well, that's it for today. I'm really going to try my hardest to read all of your blogs and catch up I promise! What has everybody been up to? Do you use these products? What are your favorite hairsprays or heat protectors?

I'm a slacker...
credit
If you've never been to myrtle beach, it basically consists of LOTS of mini golf courses, pancake houses, tacky tourist stores, beach, and interesting people. There is some Mustang car show I think that we are going to.
Anyway, I'm so so sorry I've been a slacker, and I promise when I get back I will try to get back to my one-a-day posting and reading all of your blogs!
How has everybody's week been? Going anywhere this weekend?

New hairr!
I have more layers now, and I've had layers before and never had any problems. When I straighten my hair, it looks good in the front (pictures below), but when I look at the back, it looks strange. I don't know how to explain it, but it looks kind of like a raccoon tail. You can distinctly see where the layers stop and the next layer starts, if that makes sense. Has anybody else ever had this problem? It looks better when I curl it, but I usually don't have that much time. Anyway, picture time.
Hair before: (yes, still in my pajamas hehe)
Hair after (straight):
Hair after (curly):
Let me know what you think, or if you have any solutions. It would be so greatly appreciated!

You and I
I really wish I could go to a Lady Gaga concert. Concert tickets are somewhere in my unorganized list of "things I want to buy after I pay my credit card bill off". Her performances are usually very interesting and some people would say they are crazy and weird, but you can tell her heart is in it 100%, as demonstrated in this video.
Do you like Lady Gaga? Her music, style, etc? I want to hear your opinions on her, because I know a lot of people think very differently. Negative opinions are perfectly ok, but try not to let this get out of hand (like some of the comments on videos of her on Youtube).

Blog award!
Anyway, the lovely Gets from Wasted Seventeen has passed on a blog award to me :) Thank you Gets, love ya! If you haven't visited her blog, you should! She has such amazing outfits and a great tutorial for a DIY bandage skirt!
Here is the award:
And here are the rules:
1. Thank the person that gave you award.
2. Copy the award and put it on the blog.
3. List 3 things you love about yourself.
4. Post a picture you love.
5. Tag 5 people to pass the award on to.
Easy enough. Thanks again Gets :)
Ok 3 things I love about myself. hmmm...
1. I think positive. In situations where most people can only see bad things, I can usually find at least one good thing, if not more. Same goes for people, I can see good in people rather than bad (well, I do see the bad too).
2. I don't get angry easily, and if I do, I don't stay angry. Not sure if this is a good or bad thing, but I'll count it as a good thing. I have friends to hold grudges over people for the longest time. Or stay mad at somebody for a long time. I say, if they did something to make you that mad, they (usually) aren't worth spending that much time thinking over. Holding bad feelings can be bad for your health (so I hear), so why damage yourself over someone who doesn't even care?
3. If this sounds like I'm bragging, I'm sorry I'm really not. Thanks to my mom's genes, I am really really tiny. Short as well as skinny. It took me a while to like the way I looked, because I used to think I looked like the shrimpy girl in the group. But I hear about everybody's diets and how hard it is to loose weight, and it has made me thankful that I don't (yet) have to worry about that. I am aware that I need to eat healthy and not just pig out on junk food, which I do sometimes. But I am still glad that I have one less thing to worry about.
A picture I love:
From we heart it
Well, it's really the quote that is in the picture that I love. But I constantly have to remind myself of this, and it's really true. Keep it in mind.
5 people I tag (I'm trying not to re-tag people I tagged for my last award)
1. Anna from Acquainted With the Night
2. Trish from Pink Preppy Lilly Lover
3. Elizabeth from Elizabeth Faraday
4. Minnja from minnja style
5. Katie from Fashion's Maven
That's always the hardest part haha.
Ok well that's about it for now. I'll try to get some reviews up for the elf products I bought soon! How was everybody's week? I've been kind of slacking on my blog postings and readings so I'm clueless right now haha.

Happy 4th of July!!
I am celebrating the 4th today by going to a cookout one of my friends is having. It's going to be super casual, and we will probably go swimming so I am not really dressing up tonight.
Two of my best friends got back from Australia (one of them is the one having the cookout) so I'm really excited to catch up with them :)

How are you celebrating this weekend? Fireworks? Lot's of yummy food? Have a great weekend guys, and pleeease be safe!

Haircut?
Sorry it's kinda blurry it's the only recent-ish one where you can see all of my hair.
I'm thinking of growing it out, but still it needs to be shaped, thinned, and trimmed.
Any ideas? I'm desperate :)

"My secrets are not secrets anymore"
"Totally innocent, till she met him"
"'What were you thinking?' I wasn't"
"Credit card bill never goes away"
"Shit, what do I do now?"
"They think I can't hear them"

Blog Award and Update
The rules are:
1. Describe where you think you'll be in 10 years
2. Pass the fun along to 10 other bloggers
Oh goodness I really don't know where I think I'll be in 10 years. (By the way, I realize this is not going to all happen, just me in my little fantasy world). Let's see I will be 26. Hopefully living in New York somewhere. I will be working somewhere in either the fashion or beauty industry. I will have a Westie and a Scottie dog, and a lovely boyfriend/husband (preferably a soccer player from Spain or France) haha. So yeah that's basically my little fantasy for 10 years, I could have gone all out and made it totally non-realistic though.
Ok, now that that's done, here are my 10 bloggers, in no order:
1. Gets from Wasted Seventeen
2. Sarah from Shades of Sarah
3. Allison from La Dolce Vita
4. Carrie from Couture Carrie
5. Lauren from La Petite Fashionista
6. Lindsay from La Belle Vie
7. Audrey from Audrey Allure
8. Amy from Penniless Style
9. Josie from With a Wink and a Smile
10. Lannie from Charming Frivolity
gah, I took forever to pick 10. It was so hard! I do really love all of you bloggers though!
I'm going to be back home tomorrow, where I will hopefully have some packages waiting for me, and I also went shopping today, so I'm thinking about just doing a haul video for it all just to show you all what to expect within the next few weeks, or I might just do a post. Never done a video before so I guess we'll see! Also, my dad said yes but my mom said no to the belly button ring :( I'm sure I'll be able to change her mind though.
I finally found a sushi rolling mat! My sister found one in Philadelphia and is sending it to me, so I will be sure to try out some sushi recipes and update you all :)
Oh, and in relation to my perfume post, I found the perfect quote that I should have put on it! "No elegance is possible without perfume. It is the unseen, unforgettable, ultimate accessory of fashion that heralds your arrival and prolongs your departure." -Coco Chanel. Lovely, right?
Guess that's about it, thanks again for the award, Aubree :) how has everybody's weekend been so far? Update me.

I love trying out new scents, because I easily get bored with mine. Although I do love the ones I have now, I want to expand my collection. I really like things that smell kinda fruity, floral, and kinda girly scents. Here are some I really want to try out, but most of them I haven't smelled yet, so let me know if you use them or not.
1. Viva La Juicy
2. Miss Dior Cherie
3. Can Can by Paris Hilton
4. DKNY Be Delicious
5. Wrapped With Love by Hilary Duff
6. Ralph Lauren Wild
What is your favorite perfume? Do you have any more to add to my list? Let me know your thoughts!

Shampoo review! Sheer Blonde highlight activating
Usually before I try out a new shampoo or conditioner, I read reviews on it to make sure it works for other people with my hair type. I decided to try out John Frieda's Sheer Blonde highlight activating shampoo and conditioner. I went online, read the reviews, and it seemed to get awesome reviews from pretty much everybody that reviewed it, so I decided to try it out myself.
images from folica.com.
On Folica.com, the description says
"Take highlights from dull to dazzling with the John Frieda Sheer Blonde Highlight Activating Enhancing Shampoo with Highlight Optimizers.
Activate a range of tones for a full spectrum of highlights with the John Frieda Sheer Blonde Highlight Activating Enhancing Shampoo with Highlight Optimizers"
So I was like, "Ok, cool. This will be good for summer, maybe it will make my blondeness stand out more or something. And it's John Frieda! I do love those products"...get to Target 10 minutes later... "Ooh it even smells good too! Seems like a winner so far!"
Wrong.
I used the shampoo and conditioner when I washed my hair that night, and I was still excited because it smelled really good! I got out, towel dried my hair, went to bed with it still kinda wet and woke up the next morning as usual. But when I woke up, my hair felt heavy, greasy, and nasty. I just thought maybe I didn't rinse out the conditioner very well, so I gave it another try the next night. Woke up, same thing. I used the shampoo but not the conditioner the night after that and it helped a little bit, but it still felt gross.
I don't even know if it succedded in the "highlight activating" part because I was too grossed out by the way my hair looked to even notice.
Maybe my hair is just weird though, because it really does seem to work for almost everybody else.
I havn't lost faith in John Frieda though, because I have used the Root Awakening shampoo and I did like that, plus the other styling products by John Frieda that I love.
Have you used this product? Did you have the same problem or did it work well for you? What is your favorite drugstore shampoo and conditioner?
Photo Editing
Random, right? All pictures were found on google images. I am so obsessed with the Emma Roberts posing like Audrey Hepburn in Funny Face. It's so cute!
Anyway I was going to do a recipe post of the cookies I made my dad for father's day, but I took pictures on my blackberry and left my blackberry cord at home, sooo I can't upload them just yet. But that post is coming!
